Those ice crystals are really cool (no pun intended)!! How did you get the black background? Because it was morning was it dark and you had to use a flash? The lamp post is neat and I love your quote! I really LOVE the street shot...gives a real story as to what it's like there. The perspective it fabulous carrying the eye as far as you can see down the street. I think the black and white conversion works for this photo too. Did you use a glow type of an edit on it? If so, in what program? Thanks for answering all my questions!! Har!!!
Yes it was morning, 0545 to be exact, and still dark, and yes i used the flash. I tried a few without it but the light from the low energy street lights and lamp posts they use gives everything a pink tint when its dark outside. It looks really cool at night when im going to sleep and i look out my window and theres pink light coming in. The lamp post is also my fave. Ive been trying to get a decent shot of one of these lamp posts for a while. And finally did! The picture of Central Avenue is also a favorite of mine. Its much prettier even still if youre walking down the street, maybe holding hands with your hubby and baby boy...The town (or at least the downtown area) has a sort of romance to it in the winter. God really has changed my heart to see the beauty of it all. I just cant get enough of it, and it almost brings tears to my eyes. I did use the glow effect in Picasa 3.6. I thought it just helps lead you a little more to the sort of dreamy feel that it already has for me. I simply love it, and wish it were closer to you guys so i could share it.
Thanks for answering all my questions, Jayma!! Hahahaha! I know just how you feel...when you are in a place and it makes your heart so grateful, you just want everyone to see and feel the same thing. Thanks for sharing your beautiful town!!
