Challenge #9

The initial idea behind this picture was for erik to sit on a grassy mound and have the river as the background. But...the angles didnt work out and i couldnt get just the river and not the ugly stuff on the other side of the river. Also we were in direct sunlight and it threw things off a bit. SO. I cropped everything out but erik and the grass and i put erik in the bottom left corner of the photo. The shadow was way too dark and distracting after the edits to i removed most of it. A few edits later you get this photo.

Challenge #9

Thsi picture initially makes me giggle. Erik wants sooo badly to be JUST LIKE DADDY. Even though daddy doesnt wear this type of leather jacket...grandma hollister bought it for him before he was born...and just like then, he has QUITE a while before it fits...Thus the lack of hands....NONE the Less. ...i thought it was a great shot in theory. However. I do NOT like that the jacket is so big that it makes him look like a shrunken head doll...and the helmet is really hard to get a good angle on. i would like to take the glare and reflection out of the visor as well. Eriks toes are curled and looks like he has a clubbed foot...which he does not...hahaha. And for some odd reason it looks like hes wearing pink lipstick. totally contradicts the whole matcho theme. Also the carpet isnot the same color as the wall...even though when im vacuuming and when erik spills stuff on it i would SWEAR it were white carpet...overall i think its a comical photo...not well planned nor well exicuted...put maybe in a few years when hes grown into the jacket...and i into a better understanding of the wonderful art that is photography...i will attempt it yet again.
